Basically, all the program does is create altitudes, which are then mapped to colours. Optionally, the latitude can affect the colour too, but that is all. Valleys occur when a place of low altitude is (mostly) surrounded by higher altitudes, so they are there already, but not as rift valleys or valleys created by erosion -- the planet generator does not in any way simulate real geological processes. Cities are, I think, best added manually, as are roads. I'm not sure what you mean by underwater seascape. The areas covered by sea are as varied in depth as the lad areas are in altitude. There is no real climate model: Colours are a function of altitude and latitude. If you want to emulate a planet that is farther from or closer to the sun, you can simply choose a different colour map. The manual explains how to do so. |
