| Hi, Just wondering if you would add ''weather''. It shouldn't be too much, all I'm after is a bit of cloud cover, maybe a swirl or two really! I'd really like to use the daylight shading too but it covers the majority of the map so it's not really much use. |

| I have no immediate plans to add weather, as I can't see an easy way to make a reasonably realistic cloud cover. You could copy in a "real" cloud map (such as http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/layer/clouds.jpg) over the map, but the continents are vaguely visible on this, so it may not look good. The daylight shading covers 50% of the globe with night, but it can appear as a bit more, since it starts darkening a bit before the terminator, so I may look into lightening it a bit. In any case, it works beast with the orthographic projection centered at 90-210 degrees longitude. |
