Hi! I'm working with a map of the old generator; is there still the old generator's VPPlanetGenerator for Windows? Thank you! Unfortunately I have not figured out how gcc works: when it starts, only nonsense words appear and then the prompt window closes |

I can not speak for the VVP generator, but to use the offline version you must specify an output file in the command line, otherwise the file is streamed to the terminal -- which is not what you want, unless you pipe the output to some other program. See the manual for details of how to run the planet program from the command line. |

Are you looking for this? https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/73-vpplanetgenerator/ Anyway, here's the link. It runs an older version of planet.exe because I did not adapt to the recent changes, unfortunately. |

Do you have any plan to update it to use the latest version of planet? |

Actually I do... even though I should first apologize for such a delayed response. The next release is a rewrite from ground up. First phase (just completed): convert planet.c into C#. The entire converted code is a class library (including main() as a method). 2nd phase if there's a lot of interest: develop the console interface. The result will be something like a Planet.exe that runs exactly like Torben's planet.exe, and I can include the source code. 3rd phase: develop the UI. I actually started this. |
