| How can I change the biome color scheme? Looking through the source I can't seem to find much that references colors at all Also, I propose doing this the way you did color scheme maps: refer to it externally, so that you can easily create different biome color schemes just like how you create new map color schemes. |

| Lines 847 to 881 in planet.c sets the colours for biomes (land only, sea follows the specified or default colour map). At present, you can modify the biome colours only by modifying this code. If you want to change not only the colour scheme but also the amount of, say, desert, you can modify the table starting at line 118. The Whittaker diagram is rather approximative and used approximated rainfall and temperature, so it is not guaranteed to be optimal. Again, you can do this only my modifying the code. I may at some point allow both the colour scheme and the Whittaker diagram to be loaded from files, but it is not high on my list of changes. |
