Since I think the generator uses Earth(?) as a frame of reference for biome, is there real world measurements for both water and land? How deep is the ocean and how tall is the mountain?

For historical reasons, altitude is represented in the program as a number between -0.1 and +0.1 (yeah, those are rather silly values). So the deepest possible sea is -0.1 and the highest possible mountain is +0.1.  A rough estimate would be 0.1 = 10 000 meters, as mountains rarely reach the maximum value.  The program does not generate trenches like the Mariana trench, so deepest sea being -10 000 meters doesn't seem too bad.

I need to contact someone about using one of the maps generated by your program in a science fiction book. Can you help me find out who to talk to about this?
