| Hey, Just had a quick question for you, What do I do with the output? I tried opening it with Nomac (a Linux photo viewer) with no avail.I overheard that I might need to use a rendering software although I have no idea what to use. Ive already figured out the commands and how to get the software to do what I want it to I just need to find a way to turn the output into a photo. |

| Figured it out, You don't use the .o file at all. You use the command found in the examples (planet -ps -s 0.3 -m 3 -L 30 -l 35 -G 10 -g 20 -w 320 -h 256 -o p.bmp) And edit the values they way you want them based off of the manual. Then run the command. After this it will export the file as a photo and the .o file is no longer a problem. I have never been able to make such detailed heightmaps for my projects. I am very thankful this exists and that they have kept up support and updates for more than a decade. |
