The planet map generator is awesome, thanks for making it available!  I'm using the web browser version (if it matters) and I'd like to create icy poles, however the only way I've found to do that is to raise elevation and I have a sea there which I'd like to keep.  Is there any way to create ice sheets on the Olsson maps over a certain latitude, with a bit of randomness thrown in to make it look realistic ideally?

You can use the "adjust colour by latitude" option.  The strong versions of this gives you large ice caps.

Adjusting colour by latitude also increases the mountain ranges.  It looks as though the snow comes in with height only (rather than at sea level), so increasing the probability of snow at the poles has to elevate the poles to mountains.

The colour is a function of both altitude (default) and latitude (if you select that), reflecting that the tree limit is lower is colder climes.  So the land is not elevated anywhere if you choose the latitude option, it is only the colours used for high altitudes that are used for lower elevations.  Also, sea is coloured white if it is shallow and at high latitude.  Deep sea will also be coloured white if it is far enough north/south.
