If anyone is interested, I am publishing a new software: VPPlanetGenerator-1001.zip.

https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=9E7DB242359A93F0&id=9E7DB242359A93F0!2837

It uses 3 planet/cloud/star generating programs (including one provided on this site) and provides a nice GUI input forms. Have fun with it.

First, thanks to Torben Mogensen, John Olsson, Jef Poskanzer/Brian Henderson for these planet/cloud/star rendering engines.

Second.... if you are looking for bugs, you will not find it hard to find one. If you want to have fun with this, it will probably be entertaining (hopefully).

Third, I developed this in Microsoft .NET Framework. .NET 4 for client is required. I believe the Installer will help you get it if you need it.

Limitations on inputting numbers? .NET requires minimum and maximum limits, so I had to guess those limits. If you think those limits should be adjusted, please let me know.

You should really consider a Cross platform GUI, its really not that difficult if you're already familiar with GUI's it just means stepping outside of the .NET framework most of the time.

It would also get around those pesky .NET minimums and maximums.

Limits? I can change the maximum settings to the trillions! Or perhaps 2 billion would do to accommodate the limitation of the int. :)

GUI? I can maybe redo this in Java. :( It's limited to the systems I can get access to due to the rendering engines: planet.exe, worldgen.exe, ppmforge.exe, libnetpbm.dll. Currently all I have is Windows. Time limitations prevent me from rewriting the engine codes. Others (with many thanks) have already written the code and I'm just (attempting to) make them easier to use.
