I was looking for some kind of texture for a planet in my game, and I was needing a zoomable map, this program is fantastic for 2d maps, but for textures for 3d models is actually a bit tricky to work with. I suggest adding some features to generate better textures for 3d: like bump maps, a specular map and better textures (like more realistic colors, and higher resolution 1000x1000 is not the best ;) )

Thanks in advance!
(I also use this program for rpgs campaigns and for that is fantastic!)

The offline version of the program allows much higher resolutions than the online program.  It also allows you to specify your own colour maps, so you can, for example, make all water one colour and all land another and use this for making a specular map that makes water reflective and land not.

The program does make a bump map, but it is not a separate map -- it just affects the colours.  In the offline program it is possible to change the direction of the light source, so you can extract bump map vectors by making maps with three different light directions.  But it may be easier to hack the program and save the vectors that are used internally for making bump map colours.
